Jess Glynne Cancels Upcoming UK Shows Due To Vocal Surgery
Jess Glynne fans will be shocked now! The singer was forced to pull out of the Isle of Wight Festival on the weekend. After consulting a doctor it was obvious that she had to undergo treatment of her illness. The 25-year old was devastated to cancel her show, as her post on Instagram shows:
Jess Glynne's replacement at Isle of Wight was Ella Eyre, by the way and as all of Ella's band members were on holiday at that very moment, they had to come over spontaneously for 24 hours!
The surgery will be conducted next weekend by Dr. Steven Zeitels of Boston' Massachusetts General Hospital. Past patients of Zeitels inlcude Adele as well as Sam Smith who reportedly gave advice to visit him for the surgery. Glynne's statement:
"I realised I had a problem with my voice and asked Sam for advice. He put me in touch with Dr Zeitels who I met with last week. I won’t be able to talk for three weeks but I will be back singing in August and in plenty of time for both my big UK tour and my first ever American tour, both of which I’m massively excited about. I’d like to take this opportunity to say thanks to my fans who've been very supportive and gave me my first solo number 1 with Hold My Hand."
The artist was meant to play at the V Festival, T in the Park as well as at Glastonbury this year. Her latest hit is Hold My Hand which made number one in the Official Singles Chart in March and her album I Cry When I Laugh will be released via Atlantic Records on the 14th of August. Her UK tour starts on the 31st of October in Cardiff with already sold-out shows at London's Roundhouse on the 4th of November.
