Warehouse MOBO

MOBO Movement Oxford Street Take-Over

We’ve got some big news! As we said from the beginning, the MOBO Season is about highlighting ground-breaking cultural and educational events across the UK. However it is also about creating opportunities. Therefore we are proud to present our Warehouse x MOBO Fellowship as part of MOBO Fashion. Together with Warehouse, who is a proud supporter of the MOBO Season, we are providing an amazing opportunity for young design talent.

For one day only (October 28), during 10am - 6pm, the mezzanine floor in Warehouse Oxford Street will be turned over to 2 emerging designers from the MOBO network so they can retail their collections to customers throughout the day, which will also be promoted across Warehouse's digital platforms. LUKWAGOSWEDEN by Brenda Lukwago and FABRYAN by Samantha-Jane Agbontaen will be showcased during the event.

The most unique thing about Brenda Lukwago and the ByLUKWAGO brand itself is the versatility her multicultured background brings to the designs and her ability to adapt and create clothing that stand out from the rest. Her specific aim is to create premium quality clothing, which make you feel and look great, but most importantly, key signature pieces which are a ‘must have’ for your wardrobe that are appealing and interesting gems. Her specific aim aim is to create clothes that make you feel and look great but yet again worth while looking at.

FABRYAN (fa-bri-an) is a luxury womenswear & accessories brand; offering elegantly designed pieces with the focus on high end tailoring. Launched in September 2010 during London fashion week by self-taught designer Samantha-Jane Agbontaen. The independent brand has been growing from strength to strength in the initial tertiary years with features in notable press such as: Vogue, Tatler, Glamour and Fashion TV to name a few. The collections are designed with simplicity and elegance in mind; whilst intelligently combining leather with silk fabrics signifying the Fabryan signature. Fabryan has made an international presence by stocking across Europe, USA and UAE.

Also, between 9am - 10am, Warehouse will host a networking event where press and the Warehouse retail team can meet the new designers and share advice. As well as this incredible event, the MOBO and Warehouse fellowship will provide further support to the young design talent by inviting them to the Warehouse Head Office for mentoring sessions & workshops with key teams such as Buying & Merchandising, Social media, Marketing, and more. This vital development program will take place over the course of one year.

Don't miss out on this chance to support young design talent and to own a piece of their AW15 collections - you heard them here first!
