New Video: OWS – “Waterline”

It doesn’t happen every day that an artist reinvents his music by changing the name – and actually is successful.

Former MOBO Awards winner Oritsé Williams (JLS) did exactly that (MOBO reported) and we have to admit that the “OWS" track “Waterline” that leaked on non-other than Jay-Z’s Life+Times blog is a banger!

And seriously: What is more satisfying than King Push wanting to jump on the track? OWS stated:

“I put Waterline up on SoundCloud, and shortly afterwards Kanye’s team hit me up, saying Pusha T wanted to be a part of it. I didn’t think we’d hear from them again but a week later, I saw [it in] my inbox. Even then, I still didn’t know if he’d even turn up. But on the day, I was standing in the corridor, and I heard this voice saying: ‘What up, O?’ It was Pusha! I had to keep cool but in my head I was going crazy.”

Check out the new visual that was filmed in New York below…

Back in 2008 the boys took part in ITV’s The X Factor becoming runners-up, coming second to Alexandra Burke. Major success was to follow - earning several awards including 5(!) MOBO Awards. The band split after releasing a statement on their official website in 2013.

Williams is currently in the studio with Miguel, Rihanna and Elijah Blake, who wrote Usher’s Climax and we know that this track won't be the last song we'll hear!
