Lauryn Hill's fans are not pleased with her at the moment. Stopping off in France to perform at Accor Hotel in Bercy during the European leg of her 20th Anniversary of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill tour, the show got off to a bad start when the legendary musician reportedly arrived over 2 hours late… and things didn’t get much better from there.
As we all know, most music venues must stick to a strict curfew. So, with Hill’s late arrival, it meant that she could only deliver a set which ran for less than 40 minutes.
It’s a real shame what happened yesterday no respect for your fans for the people working around you... you used to be so great in your work... #miseducation indeed @MsLauryn_Hill sad for you and for us ...

After waiting four hours and buying to very expensive tickets minus the trip from Miami to Paris I left at 10:40 and u lost a fan of over 20 plus years for life. I had to eat the money I fly back to US early morning. Lauryn Hill is a disgrace to her fans !!!

It's a real shame, such amazing talent but I didn't get tickets for this unique show and one of my favourite albums for exactly this reason. Lauryn u are known as always being late, it's just not acceptable, the power to be on time is in ur hands. And a 32 minute show?

I used to love you, but I mean LOVE you! Even after 2.5 hours of delay, I was ready to forgive you... but the entire night was really disapointing, your "immaculate sounding voice" is just a souvenir and your disrespect for the people who love you is frustrating and sorrowful.

According to your stage set, the very easy load in area of Bercy, and considering the transfer time from Brussels to Paris, either you have to fire all your technical crew, or you just think we are idiots #Experienced_Tour_Stage_Manager

This isn’t the first late arrival for Hill during her world tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of her iconic debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. A similar occurrence is said to have taken place in Brussels the night before, with the singer hitting the stage 1 hour and 40 minutes late, and in Toronto where she showed up over an hour late and only performed for 45 minutes.
With fans left feeling disappointed, Hill took to Twitter to release a statement and apologise for the production issues:

The UK leg of Hill’s tour is set to begin next month. Hopefully, Hill can deliver a much better experience for her UK fans.
