The 2024 MOBO Awards in association with MOBOLISE was an historic night for homegrown talent. Central Cee, RAYE and Potter Payper were the top winners, scooping awards in big categories including Best Male Act, Best Female Act and Album of The Year.
Hosted in Sheffield for the first time in MOBO’s history, the city gave us a big welcome with MOBO Fringe, a three-day programme of activities and events celebrating Black music and culture in the lead up to the MOBO Awards ceremony, organised by Sheffield City Council in collaboration with MOBO and members of the local community.
The evening featured show-stopping performances from legends and some of music’s hottest rising stars. From UK rap to Afrobeats, Dancehall to Pop/R&B and Garage; the MOBO stage delivered back-to-back undeniable global viral sensations and classic hits by Soul II Soul, Ghetts, Sugababes, Cristale, Byron Messia, King Promise and Camidoh, plus a celebratory 30 years of UK Garage set by DJ Spoony.
